Project Description
Bronson supported Natural Resources Canada in the creation of the 2023 ENERGY STAR Canada Annual Report, a comprehensive overview of ENERGY STAR Canada’s activities, performance, and impact during the 2022–23 fiscal year. Bronson has previously worked on both the 2022 and 2021 ENERGY STAR Annual Reports. Through close collaboration with four program teams and NRCan management, Bronson delivered a visually engaging, public-facing report that showcases the results of one of Canada’s most trusted energy efficiency programs.
Business Challenge
The ENERGY STAR Canada program needed to communicate its annual results in a clear, accessible, and compelling way to both internal stakeholders and the Canadian public. The challenge was to gather and harmonize input from four separate program divisions while ensuring consistency of tone, accuracy of metrics, and a professional design standard that reflects the credibility of the ENERGY STAR brand.
Our Solution and Outcome
Bronson began by designing structured reporting templates and facilitating stakeholder meetings with all four program teams. These tools provided clarity around roles, timelines, and the type of content required, ensuring that accomplishments, impacts, and metrics were captured in a consistent format. This structured engagement process made it easier to collect, compare, and integrate diverse inputs across programs.
From there, we developed the content through an iterative drafting process. The first draft compiled inputs from the teams alongside supporting information from background sources. We refined the report through successive drafts, incorporating feedback from the ENERGY STAR programs and leadership to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with program priorities.
Finally, Bronson delivered a polished, public-facing report designed to be engaging and easy to navigate. Using a combination of professional design tools and visual storytelling, we created a document that not only summarized program activities but also highlighted their impact in a way that resonated with stakeholders and the Canadian public. The result was a high-quality publication that reinforced the value and credibility of the ENERGY STAR Canada brand.
