Bronson recently completed a detailed study of the existing fuel program for the City of Ottawa to ensure that existing fuelling site locations were optimized to address existing and future demand for municipal fleet. The project involved detailed analysis of vehicle fuel consumption data and profiles for user groups and fueling locations, as well as analysis of fuel inventory levels and supply delivery patterns.

Geospatial analysis was performed using Tableau and Alteryx software, and multiple dashboards were generated to provide a clear overview of sources of fuel supply and demand. Site visits and stakeholder consultations were conducted to identify existing operational profiles and constraints, contingency planning for emergency response scenarios, as well as forecasting the impact of anticipated changes to municipal operations on future fuelling requirements.

Recommendations were made relating to changes to infrastructure and operations to optimize current and future municipal fuelling practices, and these recommendations have subsequently resulted in real-world investments in fuelling infrastructure to address critical points a
